National Survey …

… of Gardening and Horticulture-related Activities for Health and Wellbeing

Are you involved in using gardening and horticulture activities to improve health and wellbeing?

Would you like to see more health and social care professionals supporting and commissioning these services?

We need your help to build an up to date picture of the national availability, scale and scope of nature-based health and wellbeing services and, in particular, the use of gardening and horticulture.

The Green Care Coalition, with the support of Natural England, are working to promote these services, so that they become more widely understood and used.

As the first step in this process, we ran a survey to help us demonstrate the breadth and depth of the good work that is already being delivered across the country. This information will support future meaningful conversations with policy-makers and decision-makers about enabling more people to benefit.

The survey has now closed.

The Green Care Coalition will produce a report from the survey results (expected to be available in late April 2018).

The survey is being administered by Thrive.  If you would like to receive a copy of the report, would like to keep in touch with future developments and get involved in follow-up work, please contact

Thank you for your support!
